1) Control--psychological, hypnotic, psychic, astral—is sought by the ignorant and learned alike--who, warped in their views, pragmatic only in imitation of their contemporaries who are spiritually ignorant, seek, by and through fear, threat and intimidation, to have controlling power over the minds and worlds of men and of one another. Fear is a powerful weapon. It presupposes loss of something good. In the hands of both psychologically wise people and in the hands of primitively ignorant ones, it successfully wages a cold and sometimes hot war of terror and intimidation where individual liberties are at stake. It does not hesitate to fashion the “lie”--neither does it hesitate to upset those who are not strongly rooted--even to the destruction of their own soul-labors of lifetime good. It does not heed the pull of cosmic justice—and ruthlessly seeks to destroy….
By contrast to human struggle toward its own precious divinity the spoilers, careless, drifters, idle, pleasure-bound, the skeptics have continued in the pain of a mad round of fear. It must someday end. And end it will! I, Nada, chohan of the sixth ray declare today in God’s name, I AM, the fear of man no longer has any power for those who will put on the radiant garments of light (and I saw a Woman Clothed with the Sun—Rev. 12:1). The creation must put off vestments of fear and put on light. And inasmuch as love is light and light is love, then let love triumph over fear! Let all tyranny tremble before the precipitated power from on high, the God-power almighty to give liberty, freedom and blessing to every lifestream who will put their hands, their minds and their hearts to the plow to serve the cause of the Brotherhood of Light, and unite mankind by plowing that straight furrow that prepares the land for seedtime, harvest and the victory age for our dear Earth!

2) And as the earth is prepared for the fullness of the Lord and his coming and the fullness of the Spirit of the Maha Chohan, be then gentle chalices of comfort to all life. 3) I therefore say to the students to take heed that you reckon with reality and be not moved by those who seek to move mankind through the impulse of fear, for the actual vibratory action which God desires to direct to mankind is that which will magnetize the attention to their divine Presence in order that they may have their Immortal freedom. When individuals are constantly made to fear, they are thereby separated from the great pole of cosmic love. Perfect love always casts out all fear, for fear has torment and torment is no part of the real nature of God.

5) As I gaze upon the faces of men, perceiving their dilemmas, knowing the hungers of their hearts for the overcoming of each condition of body, mind or even spirit which may be troubling them, I have vowed within myself to give even greater attention to the needs of mankind this year by helping them to know themselves better.

6) I come then to reinforce the mastery of the sons and daughters of dominion over the water element. I come to show you how to master the waters of fear that rumble and that gurgle in the subconscious. I come to show you how to master the waters of doubt, of death, disease, and decay. For all of this is the misuse of the Mother-flow of light, crystal-flowing light that ought to be the liberation of your being and your life.
7) Hearken, you who would be conquerors of every doubt and fear! I come to project your consciousness into the new year and to show you how the cycles of initiation, which are upon you even now as the skeins of God’s consciousness, must be overcome by the light of fearlessness flame. Hearken, for the precision of God-mastery is yours for the willing, for the listening, for the taking.
When you walk the path of self-mastery, you must have the precision of an artist, the timing of a piano concerto. You must have within you the sense of the flow of spirals of the great antahkarana of Life and the intricate weavings of the mind of God. You must become one with the mathematics of cosmos….
And I would point out to you that in that moment I faced, as you will face in the moment of your overcoming, the entire momentum of fear on that planetary body, fear of evolutions without attainment, fear of the fallen ones of the second death and of the judgment--and all of that fear upon me as the clouds of the night. Yet I concentrated on faith in grace that was able to counteract that darkness.
8) It is a happy experience to observe a meditation and then to realize that even though we may think that the dove of God’s love is our own creation and our own meditation, it is really the dove of God’s love. It has a will of its own and that inherent will and determination is based upon momentum--the great momentum of love that is focused in the dove of the Holy Spirit.
On our heart’s altar we must build a reservoir of love, and the moment we are called upon to impart love for someone’s healing, that dove will already be formed and will already have a permanent nest there and can fly on demand to carry our message of love.
9) To Those Who Would Cast Out All Fear:
Difficulties can be overcome, even when all indications point to the contrary. For the virtue inherent in the universal order, while often apparent only to the few, is partaken of as a sacred feast of light once it is comprehended. Yet the hungers of the soul go unassuaged when those bidden to the marriage feast decline the Lord’s invitation.

11) Terrorism, you see, is an ideology as well as a collective of individuals who have not the internal integration of love. Therefore I consider the word organization questionable in their regard; but the bonds that bind them are not the bonds of love, they are cords of fear and hatred. And thus there is a tight bond wherever there is hatred, and this you also understand.
While the world contemplates its fears, arranges itself around and in and under its fears, long ago the word was spoken: Perfect love casts out fear. Love is an all-consuming fire that does dispel all that fears. For fear is based on the fear to be, the fear of existence, the fear of taking a single step in life, and the distorted preference not to be rather than face the challenge of living itself.
Beloved hearts, I will tell you why men’s hearts fail them for fear and why fear prevents action when it comes to the consideration of Absolute Evil as you have been discussing this evening. Consider, then, that only the love of Christ can beget the courage to challenge Antichrist.
12) I have come in the hour of the victory of Christ for the full power and manifestation of his flame. I have come for the full power of that victory now, and I desire to clear the two-thousand-year momentum of fear and doubt surrounding the mission of the Christ under the dispensation of Pisces.
Realizing then that the origin of death is always fear and doubt, we wield a mighty flame of white fire tinged with green. We wield therefore the piercing light of truth. And we go before every servant-son who must therefore defeat the foe of fear and doubt before the full God-mastery of Christhood appear.

14) The return of planetary karma is at hand, as you have been told. Now then, the intensity of that energy is that which creates the dark night of the soul, which is experienced as the severing of the soul of a people and a planet from the full radiance of the light of the I AM Presence. 15) Let us conquer fear. Let us conquer fear of the unknown and fear of death, fear of failure. Let us conquer it by knowledge of the Law. Let us know that the Law is active as principle, as the divine You and the Logos and the alchemy of your own self-awareness. Let us conquer fear with light, with knowledge, with love.
Let us trust in Him, as the birds of the air, forming the star of initiation, follow the light of Francis. As the birds of the air are cared for by a heavenly Father, so let us banish fear and trust our existence and commend our soul and mind and heart.
Look upon each hand. Examine that hand. It is the instrument of God. It is His handiwork. It is yours to use to exalt life and not to debase life.
16) Courage is the sign of the coming of age of the heart. The heart that knows no fear--for love is there--is the heart that is mature, where perfect love, love perfected in the law, has cast out every fear and the torment thereof. 17) The death that is overcome is the sense of death, the fear of death, even the second death and the dissolution of worlds. 18) We come to renew our vow and to give the world a spin–a cosmic spin of intelligence! 20) Then I taught the Messenger and gave to the Keepers of the Flame there the lessons of fear--fear from such experience that now in this hour renders the people incapable of dealing with anything but the most surface activities. Fear is binding in all directions, beloved. And most of all it is the fear to delve deeply within oneself, to come to grips with oneself and all of those previous incarnations.
21) Fear not loss of materiality nor of sensual mind but rather fear non-preparedness to receive the higher mind and all of golden illumination’s flame. “We have no time to pray, Lord.” I say, be a prayer.
22) I, Metteyya, come to minister unto the hearts of those who would be perfected in love. Therefore we perform a surgery this night for the removal of the tumor of fear. Let it be cut out by needle rays that consume and cut, cut and consume. Fear is the absence of well-being, the absence of confidence in thy Father and thy Mother….
Nearness of thy God, nearness of thy God–if you fear it, as some do fear [the] living Guru then, beloved, you know there is unresolved error, sin, karma. There is inner shame. You fear to meet the Lord God, who will walk and talk with you in the garden of the Mystery School. O Adam, O Eve, where art thou? Where art thou? you who have descended from immortality to mortality.
Resolve then. Let resolution come. Let it come by the opening to the Father-Mother God. The fear is in thyself, not in the divine Parents. And though we express gratitude to the human representatives, we must place our trust beyond the veil [in] Alpha and Omega. Thus they have used, [wherever] possible, human parents [to represent them to their children on earth]. Do not expect [human parents] to be gods and therefore set up idols, cast down idols, hate idols, fear idols. Blessed ones, the fear to stand in the presence of the Guru or the Father-Mother God, the fear of love as comfort or chastening is the idolatrous sense. Cast it out!

24) Blessed ones, [you ought to] fear to be denied the bread of Life. [And then you need to get to the bottom of that fear and unbelief that could actually cause you to be denied the bread of Life.] Fear–beloved, understand what is the meaning of this condition of consciousness. Understand that nonbelief is always the nonbelief that the Great Guru will come and will love you and will tenderly enfold you….
And so it is the old problem of the dragon swallowing its tail. It is the problem [of the] fearful [and unbelieving ones, who] need the presence of the Guru [yet who] deny that very presence by their fear [of him] and [their] unbelief [in him. Thus instead of swallowing the whole law and the whole salvation of the Guru, they keep on swallowing the tail of their own fear and unbelief.]
Thus, beloved, you may see [why] the idol of self must be broken. That is why Jesus, my Son, did speak of casting that idol of self upon the Rock of Christ that it might be broken. Those who fear to be broken, those who do not believe that if they are broken there shall emerge that pearl of the true Self, will find that the Law will come in the Person of the Lawgiver unto those who have rejected Christ. And that Law will break them and [it will] break them in pieces, [as the prophet said;] and they will have no further recourse, for they have not had courage to embrace the Guru and to feel the piercing of the sword of the Guru at the moment of the embrace.
